California Attorney General Kamala Harris is doing a fantastic job of getting loan and modification scammers out of business. Most recent success is a bogus company called Statewide Financial Group dba U.S. Homeowners Assistance. The scammers have been ordered to pay
$2 million in civil penalties. Do not allow yourself to be scammed. In is against the law for anyone to ask for money upfront to help you with your mortgage. The foreclosure services at CHC are free and approved by HUD.
