Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Interactive Workshop

Are You Ready? Is Community Housing Council of Fresno’s 2nd Annual Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Interactive Workshop, designed to help individuals and families prepare before disaster strikes and navigate recovery after it happens.
This year, we are expanding the workshop to include disaster recovery, recognizing that preparedness alone is not enough. Participants will gain practical, real-world guidance on how to protect their households and stabilize their lives following a disaster.
Workshop highlights include:
Step-by-step guidance to create a personalized emergency preparedness plan
Safety strategies, evacuation planning, and communication readiness
Protecting vital documents and maintaining financial stability
Understanding disaster recovery resources, assistance programs, and housing options
Immediate and long-term steps to regain stability after a disaster
To support families in putting preparation into action, FREE Emergency Go Bags will be provided for both children and adults while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle featuring preparedness-focused prizes to help households become even more disaster-ready.
A free lunch will be provided to all participants.
This interactive workshop is open to renters, homeowners, and community members. Our goal is to ensure every participant leaves with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to prepare, respond, and recover with confidence.
